Dear Cricket Society,
I am about to start work on my fourth film for MCC. This is an impressionistic film about English cricket in the 1960s.
A lot of the film I am using is coming from Alan Oakman’s archive but I could always do with more footage and I was wondering whether I could put out an appeal via The Cricket Society for 60s film that members might have. 8mm and 16mm film would be acceptable and almost any aspect of cricket from Test arena to the village green. The film is due to be finished by the beginning of December.
As most of the film I have has a southern/metropolitan bias it would be great if we had a response from a Cricket Society member who has film of a northern league match?.
Please let me know if you can help my contact details are below.
