Cricket > Charles Noakes Memorial Match 2010

Cricket Society XI skipper, Ronald Paterson, hands over the 2009 Perry-Lewis Kershaw (Cricket Society Player Of The Year) Award, won posthumously by Charles Noakes. The award is being accepted by Charles's son-in-law as daughter Victoria has her hands full with grand daughter Annabelle.

The Datchet and Society XI teams gather before the match for a moment's reflection.

The teams drink a toast to the memory of Charles.

Post-match entertainment came via the juggling skills of Charles's brother.

Tom and Sue Carmichael of The Society XI, together with members of Charles's extended family, display The Society flag which flew proudly throughout the match.

Paul Fielding weaves his web on the way to 3 wickets during the Datchet innings.

John Symons, less elegantly, but as effectively, bowls to one of his 3 Datchet victims. Robin Butchard is umpiring.

The Charles Noakes Memorial Match took place at Datchet CC.
