The Cricket Society and M.C.C. Book Of The Year Award 2011
Book of the Year 2011 Nominations of cricket books for consideration by the judges for the Cricket Society and MCC Book of the Year 2011 award may be made, until end January 2011, to Nigel Hancock (nigelhanc@btinternet.com or by ‘phone or text to 07885 733320 or to 74 Probyn House, Page Street, London SW1P 4BQ).
Books should have been published during 2010 in or outside the UK - and if the latter should be available in the UK, if necessary through on-line sources - and comprise new or substantially new material. Vic Marks will chair the judges for the 2011 competition.
The two judges nominated by the Cricket Society are Chris Finch and (replacing Stephen Green who has stepped down) John Symons. The MCC judges are David Kynaston and Stephen Fay.
The 2011 awards evening will take place on the 19th April, again in the Long Room at Lord’s with every effort made to ensure that Society and MCC members have equal chance of attending. The application form will be included with the next bulletin and an electronic version posted on the website on 20th February to tie in with MCC timings.
